In March 2021, Spayce is launched! But its story begins long before in the head of its founder.
Freelance for ten years, Cédric Sauvaget has had some setbacks with unscrupulous clients. Many late payments and some unpaid bills motivated him to find the best solution to avoid them.
To deliver to his customers, he mostly uses file transfer solutions, such as We Transfer. He then came up with the idea of a file transfer tool where the client could preview the documents and would have to pay the amount requested by the freelancer if he wanted to retrieve them.
An incubation at 1Kubator Bordeaux, a grant from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, developers (freelancers!) to create the app and a few interns later, Spayce is born!
This is only the beginning of the adventure and there is still a little work to be done so that the solution can adapt to all freelancers but the vision from the start remains the same: to ensure all businesses can work without worrying about payment issues.
